Antony Zielinski was the son of Antony (Martin) and Barbara Ryfnenska/Ryznenski/Ryjnenska Zielinski, Sr. He was of medium height, brown hair, blue eyes. He had a brother John Zielinski and possibly another brother, Aaron Zielinski.

Antony studied music because he didn't like blacksmithing. He could play and repair any instrument and was an accomplished violin maker. He formed his own orchestra in Krakow, Poland and was invited to play at Matrona Sawchenco's "coming out party" (debut)in Odessa, Russia and they were married shortly after.

They emigrated to America and Antony opened a Musical Instruments Shop at 152 Delancey Street in Manhattan, NY where he restored and repaired all types of musical instruments for musicians in symphony orchestras in and around the New York City area. According to NYC directories, his brother, John, was also listed as Musical Intruments at 156 Delancey Street and Aaron Zielinski was listed as Musical Instruments at 152 Delancey Street, the same address as Antony. He may have been another brother.

Antony and Matrona were the parents of 6 children:

Leonora Theresa Zielinski
John Zielinski
Theodore Zielinski (Changed name to Theodore Merrill)
Mary Leona Zielinski
Olga Santa Zielinski
Anthony Zielinski,Jr. (Changed name to Anthony Merrill)

Grandfather,
I give thanks
While there yet remains
the time for giving thanks-
That through you
I now live and know
The boundless joy
there is in living.
You left your native country
to start a new life,
And we, your descendants,
are humbly grateful.
I carry your genes and heritage proudly.
Your grandson,
John Henry Olbermann, Jr.
