She was the daughter of Heinrich (Henry) Klein who was born in Ockstadt, near Friedberg/Bad Nauheim Hessen. Mother's name unknown. They had 5 children: John Klein; Carl Andreas (Charlie) Klein; Margaret Klein; Adam J. Klein; Rhinehardt Klein.

Heinrich Klein married:
2) Elisabeth Meiser and had 5 more children: George Henry Klein; Jacobus Paulus (James) Klein;
Elizabeth May (Lee) Klein; Anna Bessie Klein and Eva Klein.
