The Sac Sun - Thursday , December 18th, 1941 - Mrs Mary E Bauman has brought suit in the district court of Sac County, asking the court to release Henry Bauman, who has been guardian of her husband who is in Cherokee in the hospital and to name in his stead an attorney to be appointed by the court.
Jacob Bauman, husband of the plaintiff, has been in Cherokee since Aug 8, 1939.
The Odebolt Chronicle - Thursday , January 29th, 1942 - F. Strom as provided by law. Motion by Strom seconded by Jensen. It was moved that the lien of the Claim of Sac County against Jacob Bauman, Incompetent for the support of the said Jacob Bauman at Cherokee State Hospital for the Insane be released as to the following described property to wit that part of the West Half of the South-east Quarte r (WV4- SE4) of Section Fourteen (14) In Township Eighty-eight (88) North, Range Thirty-six (36) West of the 5th P.M. described as follows: Commencing Nine hundred thirty eight (938) feet south of the Northwest corner of said west half of the southeast quarter above described, thence south six hundred ninety four (694) feet; thence East three hundred (300) feet; thence north six hundred ninety four (094) feet; thence west to the place of beginning. Provided that said claim shall not be cancelled nor its lien against any other property be released. This motion takes the place of a similiar motion passed on Jan. 16th, 1942. Motion carried all voting aye.
The Sac Sun - Thursday , January 17th, 1952 - Jacob Bauman 91 years old resident of Cherokee and former Sac City resident passed away in Cherokee Wednesday night.
He leaves 3 children, 2 of whom live in Sac City. Local residents are Henry Bauman and Mrs George Graf. A second daughter, Mrs Ray Church, resides in Sioux City.
Funeral arrangements at the time are not complete.
