Selma was born in Moshiem, Texas, to the late Phillip and Minnie Gaskamp Lander. On Nov. 14, 1953, she married Fred B. Ender Jr. at St. John Lutheran Church in Coryell City. She helped operate the family farm, was a housewife and enjoyed gardening. Selma was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Malone.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Fred, on Aug. 7, 1989; grandparents, Fritze and Sophie Kettler Gaskamp and Nickels and Magdelan Massier Lander; sister, Emma Reinhardt; and brother-in-law, Henry Reinhardt.
Survivors include sons, Melvin Gene Ender and wife, Pamela, of Aquilla, Alvin Dean Ender, Gilbert Wayne Ender and Curtis Ray Ender, all of Malone; grandchild, John Dillon Ender; step-grandchild, Frankie Basham; and numerous other relatives, cousins and many friends.
