Frank Hootkin Funeral - services for Frank Hootkin were held Nov. 28 at the Goodman-Bensman Funeral Home. He died Nov. 26. Hootkin. age 67. was a native of Sheboygan. He resided in Mil- waukee for the majority of his life. Hootkin was a member of Shofar Lodge, B'nai B'rith. and Congregation Beth EI Ner Tamid. He graduated from the Wisconsin State Teacher's College with a bachelor's 'degree in Science.
He taught In the public schools" up to WWII.
During WWII, he worked at AO Smith for the war-effort.
After the war. he worked as a tire salesman at Charles Lubotsky Tire Co. for 12 years: and then at' Lerman Tire Co., for 20 years.
Hootkin was very active in teaching English to night school students preparing for citizenship.
He considered this his life's work.
Survivors are his wife, Florence: (nee Kaufman):
a daughter, Adel Sucher of Fox Point and
son. Dr. Lawrence Hootkin of Shore-wood:
brother. Morris Hootkin of Milwaukee and four grandchildren.
Interment was at AgudasAchim Cemetery.
Memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association will be appreciated by the family.
