Mary W. Gannon, 90, of Collegeville, Pa., a retired registered nurse, died Friday, July 22, 2005, at the Mercy Suburban Hospital in Norristown, Pa. Born in Sutton, W.Va., on July 30, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Harper J. and Rosalie (Wesley) Wade. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing in Parkersburg. Mrs. Gannon was an Army veteran, having served in World War II as chief nurse, graduating from the Army Air Force School of Aviation Medicine. She was the wife of the late Thomas J. Gannon who died in 1995. Surviving are two sons, Thomas W. Gannon of North Canton, Ohio, and Robert Gannon of Trooper, Pa.; three grandchildren; one brother, James Wade of Parkersburg; and two sisters, Martha Kidd and Connie Deem, both of Parkersburg. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Wade; and a sister, Irene Smith. Funeral services will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Montco SAAC, 536 George St., Norristown, PA 19401.
