CEDAR COUNTY NEWS MARCH 8, 1923
(spelling of her last name was per Cedar Co. News.)
Death visited the ranks of Cedar county pioneers, heavily during the past week, taking Mrs. Mueller, and two others,
all of the Hartington community.
Mrs. Mueller had
been a resident of the county for over fifty years,

Mrs. Mueller was born in Aldenberg, Saxony, Germany, on April 5, 1842,
being almost 81 years old when she died. She came to America in 1860
and settled first in Pennslyvania, where she lived up to 1871, when she
moved to Cedar County. She had always enjoyed excellent health until two
weeks ago, when she suddenly was stricken with paralysis of the cerebrum,
gradually growing weaker until her death came last Thursday noon.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith, and was always a
firm believer. She is survived by but one daughter, Mrs. Gilbert, three
grandsons and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted
from Paragon Lutheran church last Saturday afternoon, and were conducted
by Rev. Jenning Thompson.
Note:
Tombstone birth year 1843 is a year later than another which states 1842.
