Milton KESLER, 228 West Eighth street, this city, died at 2:30 a.m. today at Woodlawn hospital where he had been a patient since Wednesday morning. He had been in failing health for 14 months and seriously ill for the past three weeks. Mr. Kesler was a retired farmer, coming to Rochester 14 years ago from Newcastle township.
He was born Sept. 18 1872, in Newcastle township to John and Mary (KESSLER) KESLER. On March 18, 1893, he was married to Linnie Belle FISH in Newcastle township. She
preceded him in death Sept. 11, 1950. Mr. Kesler was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist church and the Rochester I.O.O.F. lodge.
Survivors are a daughter, Bernice KESLER, at home; a grandson, Robert KESLER, Warsaw; a granddaughter, Mrs. Earl (Mary Marjorie) McCOY, Warsaw; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Oliver SEVERNS, Mentone, and Mrs. Robert EMMONS, Warsaw. A son, Lloyd KESLER, preceded him in death in 1947.
Final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home with the Rev. Harry SMITH of the Bethlehem Baptist church officiating. Burial will be in the
Sycamore cemetery in Newcastle township. Mr. Kesler will rest at the funeral home where friends may call after 7 p.m. today.
