Mrs Barbara Lewis Carden, 67
FORMER TEACHER BARBARA CARDEN IS DEAD AT 67
Barbara Lewis Carden, 67, who taught in the Knox County school system for many years, including at Powell Elementary School, died Friday at St. Mary's Medical Center.
Mrs. Carden was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.
She leaves a son, Stephen R. Carden; grandson, Christopher R. Carden; great-grandson, Darren C. Carden; and step-grandchildren, Sarah and Chris Cavalaris, all of Halls.
Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Monday and proceed to Mt. Pleasant Cemetery for a graveside service at 11 a.m.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 4:30 p.m. today at Mynatt Funeral Home.
