Obituary - In Remembrance
Johnnie Littlefield was born to Charlie Littlefield and Ann Williams Littlefield on June 19, 1912 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He departed this life on September 29, 1984 in the city of Fresno, California. He was the youngest of six children, two sisters and three brothers, all preceded him in death except one sister, Mrs. Bessie Coleman. He received his formal education in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.
Johnnie Littlefield moved from Oklahoma to Yuma, Arizona where he met and married Anna Lee Hannah. To this union two sons were born. He moved his family from Arizona to Vallejo, California in 1942, from Vallejo to Fresno in 1945. He was a construction laborer with Harris Construction Company and a member of the Laborers Union Local #294 where he served till his health failed him.
He leaves to mourn his passing a lovely and devoted wife, Mrs. Anna Lee Littlefield; two sons, Johnnie, Jr. and Arthur Ray Littlefield, both of Fresno; three daughters, Mrs. Ruby Henderson, Mrs. Juanita Martin and Mrs. Bernice Johnson, all of Fresno, California; one sister, Mrs. Bessie Coleman of Indiana; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers: Deacon Willie Alexander, Deacon E. Vance, Deacon J.A. Spivey, Deacon Frazier Wilson and Deacon Israel Grant.
