She was the daughter of the late Levi and Maude Brown Knight of Russell County.
Mrs. Adamson was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Adamson on May 17, 2000.
She is survived by one daughter, Sheila Carter and husband Bo, Cambridge, OH; four sons, Kenneth Adamson and wife Kathleen, Cecilia; Jerry Adamson and wife, Denise, Columbia; Walter "Waldo" Adamson and wife Jackie, Russell Springs; Ricky Adamson and wife Tammy, Columbia; two sisters, Pearl Popplewell, Russell Springs and Linda Garrison, Justice, IL. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, seven step grandchildren and eight step great grandchildren.
Mrs. Adamson was employed by the Adair County School System for 28 years as a cook at John Adair Elementary School. She made her profession of faith several years ago.
Funeral services were held Thursday, July 31st at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Neff and Bro. Stanley Watson officiating.
Burial in the Haven Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bradley Adamson, James Adamson, Patrick Adamson, Jeremy Carter, Josh Cheek and Brian Harvey.
