Known by many as "Mr. Wonderful". To his family that is what he was. He was a generous, kind person. If he had it to give, it was yours. I* remember dad as always thinking of others. When we were kids, he loved to take other neighborhood kids on our Disney World vacations. He loved nothing more than to see a child happy and smiling and just having a good time. He said it was because he grew up so poor and he never wanted to see any child do without or not to have a fun childhood. He was a child himself! If you could see his eyes light up at Disney World on "It's a small world", you would then understand that he was a child at heart.
My dad served in the United States Navy. He served aboard the U.S.S. Antietam.
He was the Clerk of the Federal Court for the Eastern district of Louisana.
After retiring, He and his family moved from New Orleans to Florida where he lived for 13 years. He died at home from a massive heart attack.
He was married to Elizabeth Simpson, had four daughters, Vicky Lynn (also buried in Arlington) Sheila Ann, Sharon Eileen, & Darlene Elizabeth. His grandchildren are Jessica Marie, Jennifer Nicole, Victoria Lynn, George Raymond, Katie Pearl, & Joshua David and two step grandchildren, Gregory Allen McNeely, II & Mitchell Thompson.
Son of the late Caroline Boyer Reisch & John Herman Reisch.
Brother of Paul F.Reisch, Sandy Reisch Sainz, Jane Reisch Watters, the late Dorothy Reisch Genn, Beatrice Reisch Troutman, John Reisch, & Harold G. Reisch.
