She was the daughter of George and Adeline Barnes. She was first married to William Moore. She married Thomas W. Shroyer on August 8, 1909.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the Methodist church for Mrs. Lillie Mae Shroyer, 72, who died at noon Friday in Champaign county hospital, Urbana. Rev. C. E. Johnston officiated and burial was in the Davis cemetery, Fairmount. The pall bearers, Ferris Wolfe, Gerald Runyon, Chloris Hillard, Harvey Lee, Paul Milner and Orville Runyon, were nephews of Mrs. Shroyer.
She had been a patient in the hospital for about two months.
Mrs. Shroyer was born Jan. 22, 1878, at Fairmount, daughter of George and Adeline Barnes Runyon. On Sept. 5, 1898 she was married William H. Moore, who died June 20, 1908. On Aug. 18, 1909, she was married to Thomas W. Shroyer. They lived in the Fairmount community until about 10 years ago, when they moved to Homer. Mr. Shroyer preceded her in death Nov. 7, 1945.
Surviving are a son, Thomas G. Shroyer, Homer; two daughters, Mrs. Nora Schafer of Lafayette, Ind. And Mrs. Maxine Kinney, Rantoul; four step-daughters, Mrs. Lola Davis, Fairmount; Mrs. Lura Maxwell, Homer; Mrs. Gertrude McFarland, Danville and Mrs. Jennie Sanford of Indianapolis, Ind.; a brother, Harvey Runyon, Waynestown, Ind.; and two sisters, Miss Hettie Runyon, Danville, and Mrs. Delta Milner, Flora. All the surviving relatives were able to attend the funeral rites except Mr. Jennie Sanford.
Mrs. Shroyer was a member of the Fairmount Methodist church.
