Mrs Phimelia Hoyt of Otego, died Tuesday morning, September 7th, at the home of Mrs Alice Birdsall, at Otego. She was the widow of Elijah Hoyt and was nearly eightyfour years of age, having been born September 8, 1831. She was a daughter of George and Esther (Gilbert) Birdsall, and had spent nearly all her life in that township. She was a much respected Christian woman whose death will be deeply regretted by all. Her health had been failing since early spring and for the past six weeks she had been confined to her bed.
The deceased is survived by one sister, Mrs A A Mather, of Albany, a nephew, George G McKinnon of Ausable Forks and two nieces, Mrs A H Bacon of Albany, and Mrs Newton Cleveland of Denver, Col.
The funeral will be held at the Baptist church in Otego, on Friday, at 10:30 o'clock. The Rev S G Bundy will officiate and interment will be in Evergreen cemetery
