She was the daughter of the late Jim and Jeanette Holland of Borden Springs, Ala, and was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Weems; recently deceded great-grandson, Adam Walden, Shepherd Scott Kiker and Barrett Elder; daughter, Sue Holcomb; great-granddaughter, Jamie Hobbs; grandson, Johnny Buttram; sisters, Eva Nell Andrew and Mable Piper; and brother, Frank Holland.
Mrs. Weems was a lifelong resident of Alabama and has resided in Georgia the past eight years, where she was a member of Highland Church of Christ in Dalton.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Billy Hobbs, Diane Meadows and Debbie and Mike cruse; brothers, Rev. Robert Holland, James and Ed Holland, sister, Desi Pettyjohn. Grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held on Thursday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Clyde Ray officiating. Burial was in the Varnell Cemetery.
