On July 3, 1904, Rosie married Riley Smith In Brunswick County, Missouri. They had two sons, Borrdal "Bert Al" and John Michael. Rosie contracted the German measels while she was pregnant with Bert Al. As a result he was born mentally disabled and epileptic. Rosie and Riley divorced. Bert Al died in the St. Joseph State Hospital in St. Joseph, Missouri March 31, 1924.
On 04 JUN 1924, Rosie married Edward Walker. They had one child, Dora Kathern. In 1934, Edward died after an 18 month struggle with tuberculosis. Rosie and her daughter, Dora, went to live with her sister, Sophie, who was married to her late husband's brother, Guy Walker. Rosie lived to be 82.
