Obituary, The Morning Sun, April 22, 2010:

Rozella "Zella" Miller Harris, 88, of Pittsburg, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at Via Christi Hospital, Pittsburg, Kansas.

She was born October 16, 1921, at Pittsburg, Kansas, to Odis J. and Maude D. (Quier) Miller. She attended Lincoln School, Roosevelt Junior High, and Pittsburg High School.

On September 9, 1939, she was united in marriage to Paul G. Harris at Lamar, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 2003.

Mrs. Harris worked for Montgomery Ward for 25 years; retiring in 1984. Membership was held in the St. John Lutheran Church.

She is survived by a son, Glen O. Harris and wife, Lois, of Frontenac, Kansas; daughter, Sherry C. Thompson and husband, James, of Thomson, Georgia; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Charles Miller; and two sisters, Alta Cezar and Nevella Evans.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 24, at the Brenner Mortuary with Rev. Tom Wehrman officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday, at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Pittsburg, Kansas.

The family suggests memorials to the St. John Lutheran Church, Pittsburg, Kansas. These may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 East 4th Street, Pittsburg, Kansas 66762.
