Odis J. Miller Is Dead

Bricklayer Ill For Three Months; Funeral Is Friday

Odis J. Miller, 53, died at 7 o'clock last night at his home, 101 West Twenty-fourth. A bricklayer, Mr. Miller had been ill for three months.

Mr. Miller became overheated in July while working on a building in Iola and never recovered from his illness. He was born June 16, 1886, in Leon, Kansas, and came to Pittsburg from Everton, Missouri, with his parents when eight years old. He had lived in Pittsburg since that time. He belonged to the local bricklayers union.

Among the survivors are the widow, Mrs. Maud [sic] Miller; a son, Odis Miller of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Nevella Evans of Sacramento, California, Mrs. Zella Harris of the home and Alta Mae Miller of the home; a stepson, John Kekec of 107 West Twenty-fourth; the father, Henry J. [sic] Miller of 2410 North Broadway; a brother, James H. Mille of 2403 North Broadway; and a sister, Mrs. Emma Pugh of 101 East Twenty-third.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon in the Ellsworth Chapel with Reverend C. J. Askins in charge and burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery. The body will be taken to the home at 7:30 o'clock tomorrow night.
