Mrs. Ida Stout, 65 years old of Caruthersville, Mo., wife of J.W. Stout died, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W.A. Stephens, on East Kentucky avenue suddenly, Friday night at 8:30 o'clock as a result of a paralytic stroke. The fatal stroke was the third that Mrs. Stout has suffered.
Mrs. Stout with her husband came to visit her daughter last Tuesday, coming from Kennett and planning to move back to their old homeplace near Caruthersville shortly. She had made frequent trips here all during the winter and had numerous friends here.
She is survived by her husband and six children, five sons and one daughter, Sam Stout, of Portageville, Otto Stout of Kennett, Calvin Stout of Caruthersville, Delbert Stout of Fordyce, Harry Stout of Marked Tree and Mrs. A.W. Stephens of this city, and a number of grandchildren.
The funeral service was held Sunday afternoon at two o'clock at the Baptist Church in this city, the Rev. D.K. Foster having charge of the service. Interment at the Maple Cemetery after the service.
