Anna was the third of 8 children born to Michael and Margaretha (Heldt) Welter.

She married Edmund A Mason. They had 7 children: Lawrence J, Carl, Pauline, Marie, Dolores, Betty, and Margaret C.

on March 15, 2012:

Mrs Anna Helen Mason, a resident of Hopkins 20 years, died at Mrs Keyes Nursing home in Excelsior last Thursday morning at the age of 83. She had been a patient there three years.
Mrs Mason, who was born in Chanhassen April 15, 1875, resided at 128 Eleventh Ave So, Hopkins, until three years ago.
She was a member of St Joseph's Women's club, Catholic Aid Society of Chanhassen and the Third Order of St Francis.
Services were Saturday from St Joseph's Catholic church with Father Urban O'Rourke officiating. Burial was in St Margaret's cemetery.
She is survived by four daughters, Pauline Mason of San Mateo, Calif; Marie Mason of Minneapolis; Mrs O.J Harstad of Glen Lake and Mrs George Schroers of Chanhassen; two sons, Carl of Minneapolis and Lawrence Mason of Hopkins, three brothers, Martin Welter of Chaska and John and Matthew of Chanhassen; a sister, Mrs Albert Buschkowsky of Palmdale, Calif; 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Edmund A, preceded her in death six years ago, and a daughter, Mrs John (Margaret) Schneider of Hopkins died in 1940.
