Frank Kannegieser, 78, of Hanover died April 22, 2010, at Spaulding Hospital in Cambridge. Son of the late Frank A. and Katherine Kannegieser, he was born in Boston, Sept. 17, 1931. Frank served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged as a corporal in 1954. He received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Boston University and completed the Advanced Management Program from Harvard Business School. Frank worked as the executive vice president and treasurer for Richard C. Knight Tuition Payment Plan in Beacon Hill. He was later the vice president of sales for Babson-United Investment Council in Wellesley. He retired in 1991 and enjoyed gardening, hiking, watching the Red Sox and spending time with his friends and family. Frank also enjoyed spending many summers at his home in Brewster. Frank is survived by his wife of 52 years, Claire Johnson Kannegieser; his daughter, Joan Kannegieser of Marshfield; and his son, John Kannegieser of Walnut Creek, Calif.; brother of John Kannegieser of Winthrop, Maine. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, P.O. Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202, and/or to Amnesty International USA, 5 Penn Plaza, 16th floor, New York, NY 10001. Funeral services are private. Interment in Milton Cemetery, Milton.
