Daughter of Martin Luther ROBINSON and Sarah Ann TERRY, married Morris Hallock WELLS about 1867

MRS A R WELLS DIES; 89 YEARS OLD
One of Mattituck's Oldest and Most Respected Residents

Mrs Adelaide Robinson Wells, widow of the late Maurice H Wells, died at her home in Mattituck Tuesday morning of this week. She was one of Mattituck's oldest residents, being in her eighty-ninth year. Up until her recent illness she had enjoyed remarkable health and appeared to be much younger in looks and in spirit than one of her years would be expected to look. It was always a pleasure to converse with "Aunt Ad" as many affectionately knew her. She was alert, friendly and cheerful, and her kindly smile and pleasant ways will long be remember by her hosts of friends and relatives. She belonged to a fine old Long Island family, the Robinsons. Three daughters survive her, the Misses Bessie and Evelina C Wells, both of whom lived with her at Mattituck; one son Harry Wells of Rockville Centre LI; a sister Mrs Sarah Hazard of Mattituck and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
