Frances was living a good life in Carrick, PA, with her husband and 6 children that she loved dearly, when disaster struck. She lost her husband and her daughter, Dorothy, to the 1918 flu epidemic. She moved her remaining 5 children to Carnegie, Pa to be near her own family.
She raised 2 sons, Harry and Frank, and 3 daughters, Louise, Gertrude and Naomi. All of the siblings grew up in Carnegie and stayed there after marrying. Frank was the only one that moved to a bordering town of Crafton, PA. Unfortunately, he passed away just 7 months later at age 40, leaving 2 small children.
One of those children was Jack Beerman, my husband, and he always had kind words about his Grandma.
Frances is buried next to her daughter, Louise, and close to her son, Frank. Her husband and daughter are most likely buried in Carrick.
Her parents were Herbert Knobben and Bernadine Shearer
