Services for Zona Blackburn 83, will be held Tuesday at 2 o'clock in the afternoon in the Church of Christ in Broadview. Bob Martin will officiate. Mrs. Blackburn died on Thursday, Jan. 18, 1990 at Clovis High Plains Hospital. She was born on July 26,1906 in Barstowe, TX. She came to this area in 1919 in a covered wagon and had lived in the Wheatland, Broadview, Bellview area since then.. She was a homemaker cooking countless meals for family and farm hands. She drove a school bus for many years before retiring in 1962. She also was an Avon Lady for awhile. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Broadview. She was a member of the Bellview and Broadview Extension Club and was a member of the Grady Rebecca's Lodge. Survivors include one daughter, Lucille Paul, Phoenix,AZ; one son, C.J. Blackburn(Nancy), Broadview; one sister, Juda Brown, Coarsegold,CA; two brothers Bradford Bunch, Coarsegold, and Bill Bunch, Glendale,AZ; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Barney Blackburn; two sons, J.M. Blackburn and Austin Blackburn, one granddaughter, Connie Sue Blackburn, and one brother, Jack Bunch. Casket bearers will be Arvin Wood, Hershel Hughes, George Pettigrew, Bob Frost, Jerry Powell, and Herb Hultman.
