COOS BAY — Catherine Earley Chapman of Coos Bay died April 22 of age-related causes. She was 89. No service is planned.
She was born March 10, 1921, in Pickens County, S.C., to Robert and Julia Wood Earley. She married Sidney Chapman in 1959. They later divorced.
She worked at Salvation Army and as a domestic.
Survivors include Sidonia Londo of Lakeside; four sisters; five brothers; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Her former husband died in 2004 and a daughter, Judy Gilispie, died previously.
Burial will be at Mount Vernon Cemetery in Springfield. Arrangements by Myrtle Grove Funeral Services in North Bend.
