Oscar Jackson, 73, of Ingram Ky died Sat. Sept 24 1988 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Ky, following and illness of several months. He was born in Knox Co, Dec 26 1914, a s/o the late Dawson and Rebecca Bingham Jackson. He was married to Cleo Goodin Jackson and was a retired merchant. He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 brothers. Survivors include his wife, Cleo Jackson of Ingram, 2 daughters, Semone Jackson of Roseville, Mi, and Joyce Catoe of Flat Lick Ky; 1 stda, Carolyn Monhollen of Ingram; 2 sons, Oscar L and Michael C Jackson of Ingram; 6 sisters, Elsie Hammnons, Betsy Williams and Axie Lester all of Flat Lick, Ky. Gertrude Brandenio of Alliance Ohio, Sudie Smith of Welsville Ohio and May Taylor of Delta Ohio; 1 brother, John Jackson of Flat Lick, Ky; 9 grandchildren, 5 st grandchildren, and 3 gr grandchildren. Services were Tuesday, Sept 27 1988 at Ebenezer Baptist church with Revs. Keith Bays and Arnold Petry. Burial was in the Binghamtown Cemetery at Flat Lick, Ky. Pallbearers were Oscar Phipps, Silas Goodin, Steve Brooks, Ken Fuson, Don Mills and Paul Wayne Goodin. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Steely, Benton Gilbert, Walter Tiller, Howard Perry, Ernest Centers, Charlie Hembree, Albert Brooks and Frank Gray. Arnett Funeral Home Pineville was in charge of arrangements.
