Arthur Mills, 86, of Austin, died Thursday, April 22, 2010 at the Adams Healthcare Center.

Arthur was born Feb. 12, 1924 in Clear Lake, S.D. to Ross and Hazel (Davis) Mills. On Oct. 4, 1948, he was united in marriage to Lucille Barbara Laufle at the Queen of Angels Chapel.
Arthur was a retired employee of Hormel Foods having worked there for almost 40 years, and he was also a farmer. He enjoyed investing, reading, watching business shows, walking his dog Samantha, and going to the cabin in northern North Dakota for more than 20 years.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Mills, Austin; son, Mark Mills, Austin; two grandchildren, Alison Mills and Andrew Mills, both of North Dakota; brother, James (Rose) Mills, Blooming Prairie; nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Fletcher, and his father, Ross Mills.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 30, 2010 at Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Father Dale Tupper officiating. The family will greet friends at a luncheon following the service. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post #91.
Memorials are preferred to the Mower County Humane Society.
