Loyal H. Adams, 85 of Brodhead, passed away Friday, November 16 1973 at the Rockcastle County Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Rockcastle County on November 12, 1888, the son of the late J.F. and Carrie Houke Adams. He was retired from the Rockcastle county School System and was a member of the Ottawa Baptist Church.

Survivors are: his wife, Mrs. Gracie Eads Adams of Brodhead; Hubert of Crab Orchard, William J. and Walter both of Brodhead; two daughters, Miss Edna Adams and Mrs. Mary Holcomb, both of Brodhead; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Holcomb and Mrs. Carrie Barnett, both of Brodhead; five brothers, Albert of Mt. Vernon, Arthur of Route 3, Brodhead, Harley of Monticello, Illinois, Ben of Middletown, Ohio, and Clarence of Crab Orchard; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, three step grandchildren, and six step great grandchildren also survive.

Services were held at 2p.m. Sunday, November 18th at the Ottawa Baptist Church with Rev. R.C. Flynn and Rev. Sam Sowder officiating. Interment was in the Oak Hill Cemetery.

Arrangements were by the Watson Funeral Home.
