MRS J CAMPBELL DIES AT COAST
Word has been received of the death of Mrs. Janet Campbell of Cayley on Wednesday, June 21. Mrs. Campbell, accompanied by her granddaughter, Miss Isabel Sloane, had gone to Victoria to be with her daughter, Mrs. D. Halliday, and death came to her quietly at her daughter's home.
Mrs. Campbell came with her family from Ontario to the Cayley district in 1907, and has resided there very since except for three years spent at the coast. She held the affection of a great circle of friends in the district, and her death will be widely mourned. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Garfield Sloane of Cayley, and Mrs. D. Halliday of Victoria. This is the second bereavement of the family in the past few months. Mrs. Campbell's only son Gordon having died in March. Mr. Campbell, her husband, died 10 years ago.
The remains have been forwarded to High River for burial. Funeral services will be held in Cayley United Church at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 24. Interment will be at the Highwood cemetery.
