Saraia Viera (Borrero), 71, of Vineland went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 9, 2010.

Saraia was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, to the late Regino and Sofia (Bermudez) Borrero, and had been a Vineland resident since 1952. She worked for many years at Vineland Labs. She was a founding member of Spanish Assembly of God Church. As a member, she held the following positions:Sunday school teacher,deacon, secretary andpresident of the Woman's Society. As a devout Christian, she shared her faith and wisdom with everyone who crossed her path. She emulated Christ byofferingunconditional love and forgiveness to others.

Saraia was the ultimate homemaker and caregiver. She was a foster care mother for many years in Vineland. She was an amazing cook and thoroughly enjoyed doing sofor her extremely large family, friends and anyone who visited her home. She had a heart of gold, always thinking of others and sharing everything she had. Shehas truly left a large footprint on the hearts of her family and friends. She will never be forgotten and her legacy will live on in those she has left behind until we meet again in heaven.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Sarrail Acosta, in 1994; and her sister, Teonila Acosta, in 2010.

Saraia is survived by her loving husband of 10 years, the Rev. Juan Viera of Vineland; five daughters, Damaris Weissman (Donald), Janet Delizo (Don), Mildred Gonzalez, Sara Chaney (Mark) and Nelida Vidro, all of Vineland; 11 grandchildren, Patricia, Donna Marie (Kelvin Lopez) andPeter Ocasio IV (Leyla), Danielle Weissman, Jaclyn Delizo, Adamand Erik Gonzalez, Mark and Aaron Chaney, and Nicholas and Miranda Vidro; three great-grandchildren, Gabriel Novas and Liliana Lopez, and Elisa Saraia Ocasio; two brothers, NehemiasBorrero (Rosalina) and Eliseo Borrero (Maria); four sisters, Elizabeth Cortes (Angel), Rhoda Hall (Richard), Mildred Ramirez and Kohanna Borrero (Alex), all originally of Vineland; and also many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral service will be held at noon Monday at Spanish Assembly of God Church, 512 S. Third St., Vineland.

Burial will follow at Siloam Cemetery.

The viewing will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, and from 11 a.m. to noon Monday at the church.

Arrangements are entrusted to Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home in Vineland.
