MONROE SPINKS
GOLDTHWAITE - Martin Monroe Spinks, 97, of Zephyr died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 1999, in a Brownwood hospital. Service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery.
He was born Oct. 3, 1901, in Mullin. He was a farmer, rancher and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia Spinks of Zephyr; two sons, Raymond Spinks and Doug Spinks, both of Mullin; three daughters, Jean Ferguson and Maneva Warren, both of Mullin, and Dalpha Routh of Ballinger; six step-children, Kathryn Huntsman, Juanita Weatherly and Millie Powell, all of Zephyr, Loretta Trumble of Sulphur Springs, Jackie McKee of Round Rock and Gloria Horton of Odessa; two brothers, Albert Spinks of Mullin and Woodrow Spinks of Logan, N.M.; a sister, Evie Davee of Sterling City; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
