Faith Elizabeth Alber: HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. - Services for Faith Elizabeth Alber, 71, will be held at a later date at Fletcher's Lake, Ind. She died Sunday morning, Aug. 31, 2003, in Carolina Village Health Center. Born Nov. 18,1931, in Elkhart, she was the daughter of the late Calvin H. and Emma Celeste Burton Alber. A graduate of Onward High School, she also graduated from Manchester College in North Manchester and South Bend Medical Foundation in South Bend. She was associated with Tucson Medical Center in Tucson, Ariz, until her retirement. Faith was a resident of Tucson prior to residing in Hendersonville, N.C. for 3 1/2 years. She was affiliated with the Methodist faith and was a sports enthusiast. Surviving are one brother, Paul D. Alber, Hendersonville, N.C.; one sister, Ruth Alber Mayhill, Logansport; three nieces; and six nephews. Two brothers, LaVern Alber and Clyde B. Alber; and one sister, Mary Margaret Alber, preceded in death. Burial will be in Fletcher's Lake Cemetery. Shuler Funeral Home, Hendersonville, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Carolina Village, Hendersonville N.C. 28792, the Special Olympics or to a charity of the donor's choice.
