George Alfred married Etta Burnett on July 28, 1897 in Maysville, DeKalb County, Missouri. Details of the marriage and the fate of Etta are unknown, but George lived in alone in Chicago in 1909, according to a newspaper article describing a Beaudry family reunion (click on father Amable Beaudry's link to view article).

The next glimpse of George is in 1920, when he and his second wife, Nancy K. McGreven, were living in Kansas City, Missouri. He worked in the city as a streetcar motorman. Nancy died there on July 16, 1922.

George moved to California around 1929 to be near brothers Walter and William, and nephew Carl Amable Beaudry (son of Walter), since George had no children with either wife. In fact in 1930, he lived with William, who was a noted landscape architect in Chicago who retired to Los Angeles. George, some 17 years younger than William, was a gardener on a private farm in the Los Angeles area. George spent the last two years of his life at a sanatorium in Alhambra.
