Mr. Torre worked for NJ Transit as a mechanic for 12 years and owned and operated Joe's Window Treatments. For the past 22 years, he was the Head Custodian for the Summit Board of Education at the Brayton Elementary School.
He was a communicant of St. Vincent De Paul Church and a past communicant of Our Lady of Sorrows Church.
Mr. Torre was an avid tennis player and a craftsman.
He is predeceased by his wife, Antonietta (Tina) in 2007; his son, Nicholas in 2005; his parents, Nicholas and Margaret Russo Torre and his niece, Ashley Leoncini in 2000.
Mr. Torre is survived by his son, Joseph Torre, Jr. of Green Brook; his daughter, Monique Torre of Green Brook; his brothers, Michael Torre and his wife Dorothy and Nicholas Torre and his wife, Phyllis; his grandchildren. Nicholas Torre, Jr and Jason Torre-Grasso. He is also survived by nephews and nieces and many extended family and friends.
