Atlanta and her late husband, Wilbur J. Taylor, Sr., owned and operated W. J. Taylor Dairy in East Wilmington, as well as Taylor Fireworks Co. in Spartanburg, SC and Kansas City, KS.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four children, Wilbur J. Taylor, Jr., Lucy Taylor Woods, Wilbur Delano Taylor and Laura Taylor Vezina; five sisters; six brothers and one grandchild.
She is survived by six children, Patricia Taylor Lindsey, Nell Taylor Teachey, Winston C. Taylor, Luther Hill Taylor, Joyce Taylor Easter and Grace Taylor Swain; twenty grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm, Monday, May 10, 2010, at Andrews Mortuary Market St. Chapel.
Relatives and close friends are invited to attend the graveside service at 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at Oleander Memorial Garden.
