Phyllis Johnson Gibson passed away on Monday, March 2, 2009, following a brief illness.
Phyllis was born in Pagosa Springs April 26, 1928. She married Chester Ray Gibson, also of Pagosa Springs, who preceded her in death. They moved from Pagosa in 1964, but she remained active in local community events and maintained a residence in Pagosa until her death. She is survived by a son, Scott Gibson, of Evergreen, Colo.; a daughter, Amanda Hough of Caldwell, Idaho; a granddaughter, Georgina Hough, also of Caldwell; a sister, Norma Rae Johnson of Pagosa Springs; and a brother, Eldon Johnson, of Albuquerque, N.M.
No services are planned. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Upper San Juan Humane Society.
