Mary Jane Gibson, age 81 of Route 1, Norma passed away Wednesday, February 7 at Scott County Hospital. She was the widow of William Gibson and a member of the Straight Fork Baptist Church. Survivors: seven sons, Thomas and Simon Gibson both of Cincinnati, Jesse Gibson of Middlesboro, Kentucky, Ambers Gibson of Route 1, Pioneer, Wiley Gibson of Route 2, Caryville, Hollis Gibson of Atlanta, M.D. Gibson of Dalton, Georgia; three daughters, Mrs. Ethel Jones of Pineville, Kentucky, Mrs. Evelyn Goad of Route 1, Norma, Mrs. Martha Estes of Cincinnati, half-brother, Sherman Bowlin and half-sister, Mrs. Nancy Bowlin both of Bethel, Ohio; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, February 9 at Straight Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Owens, Rev. O.V. Lowe and Rev. Charles E. Marcum officiating. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery.
