Dale Cantrell passed away Monday, May 10, 2010 surrounded by loved ones. He accepted death with grace and dignity.

He was born November 28, 1953 and resided in Akron his entire life. He was a graduate of North High School and was retired from Davies Can Company. He was the former owner and operator of The Touch of Class and a current owner of Karams Lounge. He enjoyed playing pool, trips to Vegas, local sporting events, and defending his beloved New York Yankees (27 World Championships!). Dale was a former Akron city Councilman and past president of the North Akron Hot Stove Baseball League. He was well known for his generosity and sponsored many baseball and softball teams.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Agnes. He is survived by his children, Richard and Robert (Sara); grandchildren, Ryan, Chelsea, Conner, Madison, and Chloe; brothers, Dave Humble (Chris), Doug (Nancy), and Dean (Pam). He will be sadly missed by Aunt Iva, Joe and Lucy Mickunas and family; his former wife and best friend, Madeline; his right hand man, Markey, Jim, Ron, Dewey, Harry, and thousands of other friends and relatives.
