Funeral services for Albert James Long, 72 years of age, who died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Olive Wright, Thursday at 12:10 noon, will be held Friday afternoon at 2:45 at the First Baptist church, with the pastor, Rev. H. H. McBride, officiating. Interment will follow in the Winnfield Cemetery.

Born in Winn Parish November 1 [sic October 30], 1868, the son of John M. and Mary Elizabeth Long, Mr. Albert James Long spent his entire life in this parish. He was first married to Miss Mollie Bryant, and they reared their family here. After her death October 14 [sic 13], 1933, he was married to Mrs. Maud McNaughton, who survives him. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Masonic fraternity, and was a prominent stock raiser in this parish.

Besides his wife he is survived by four sons, J. Murphy Long, Junction City, Arkansas, Bryant C. Long, Baton Rouge, Albert James Long, Jr., Shreveport, and W. Otho Long, Winnfield; daughter Miss Edith Ann Long, Winnfield; three sisters, Mrs. S. A. Wright, Mrs. Olive Wright and Mrs. Julia Nugent, all of Winnfield.
