Our beloved mom, grandma, great-grandmother, and sister, Peggy Ruth Harrison, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2010 in Boise, Idaho.

She was born August 24, 1934 in Plainview, Texas. She spoke with great affection about her years in Texas and growing up on the farm.

After spending time in California with her family, they moved to Arizona, where her own children were born. In 1974, she moved to Utah, where she had many years of joy, love, and friendship.

She worked for the Department of Social Services from 1975 to 1994. She moved to Boise, Idaho in 2005. Her life was an example of unbelievable faith, strength, courage, and endurance through her many earthly trials. At twenty-one, she contracted polio and conducted the rest of her life from a wheelchair with amazing poise and grace. For the last year, she has valiantly fought cancer.

Through it all, she always kept a beautiful smile. All who knew her were inspired by her warm, friendly manner, and great outlook on life. Every visit to her home was welcomed with baked treats of love. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She loved her Savior.

She is survived by her daughter Pam (Kim) Hartnett of Boise, Idaho, sons Jack Dale Duffy of West Jordan, and Ted Duffy of Scottsdale, Arizona, nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren, sisters Azalee Cooper of Boise, Idaho, and Chloie Carson of Phoenix, Arizona.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the LDS Church, 10124 South 1300 West, South Jordan. Friends and family may visit at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12, 2010, and at the Church prior to the services from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
