He retired as an employee of the Sun Oil Company (Sunoco) and was longtime volunteer at Lankenau General Hospital in Wynnewood, PA where he died of heart disease while a resident of nearby Narberth, PA. Married 9 Sept. 1920 in Philadelphia, Dorothy Heath Prickitt, dau. of Alvan M. Prickitt and Eleanor Cordelia "Ellie" Heath. Dorothy never remarried and d. 3 January 1991 in Franklin, NC.
