Harry was a charter member of the Fonda Lions Club where he served on the board of directors and headed their sight conservation committee which organized a program to purchase and train seeing eye dogs for the blind. He received several commendations and honors for this work. In addition, he was a member of the Wisconsin Garage Operators Association and the Upper Fond du Lac & Capitol Advancement Association.
Harry was also an active member of the Wisconsin Consistory, Myron Reed Lodge F. and A.M., the Tripoli Shrine, and Haven chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and worked with Wisconsin Memorial Park to develop their Masonic section of the cemetery.
Harry was a devoted husband and a loving father and grandfather. He touched the lives of many through his good works. Even the deepest grief felt by all those who were close to him cannot match the love that he gave during his time on earth. He will be with us always through the love his family holds for him in their hearts.
"IN THE END, THE TRUE MEASURE OF A MAN IS NOT THE WEALTH HE LEAVES BEHIND, BUT THE RICHNESS OF THE MEMORIES HE GAVE TO OTHERS".
