In 1863 he md in Monroe Co., MIch. to Melissa Russell, b Huron Co., O., Apr. 7, 1842, dau. of Verus & Amanda (Maxfield) Russell. He served in Co. C, 65th O.V. I. His 3 brothers, Henry, Abraham & George and his wife's brother Frank all served in the Civil War. He settled in Lenawee Co., Mich. in 1867. His wife's father in War of 1812. 5 ch.
