Guy is survived by his wife Erdeal McDonald (Winfield, Alabama/Miramar Beach, Florida), son Dennis McDonald (Winfield, Alabama), his "sweetest one" granddaughter Melissa (Jeff) Key (Miramar Beach, Florida), great-grandson Benjamin Key, Daughter-in-law Helen (Bo) Dodd(Eldridge, Alabama), sister Peg Bobo(Northport, AL). He was preceded in death by his parents, son Carlos Wade McDonald, brother Joe McDonald, sisters Ethel Dodd, Nora Doss, and Louise Jones.
Mr. McDonald served in the army during World War II as a medic with Patton 3rd Army 94th Division. Mr. McDonald worked for TVA as a carpenter. He retired in 1982.
Guy loved studying about Civil War History and was an avid reader.
