Hannah Peterson was born on December 11, 1880. She was the wife of John David Boyd, Jr., who was one of the first sheriffs of Utah County, Utah, and is the subject of the book "The Last Stagecoach Robbery" by Brenton Yorgason and Richard Myers. The John David Boyd, Jr., records reside at the Harold B. Lee Library at Brigham Young University (a bequest of daughter Ida Boyd Reid). John and Hannah had eleven children: John David Boyd (who died in the 1918 flu epidemic while in the Navy in World War I), Emmet Lorain Boyd, Savie "V" Boyd Peay, Ida Boyd Reid, Mildred Boyd Arnold, Olive Benza Boyd (who died at 3 months of probable accidental blood poisoning), Amelda Boyd (who died due to complications of glaucoma surgery at age 4), George Edward Boyd (who died at age 36), Lewis Hubbard Boyd, Byron Woodrow Boyd, Sr., and Sherman Boyd. Hannah died on January 25, 1958, at age 77 of cardiovascular renal disease.
