Ann (Ms. Annie) Brown, 92, of Desloge, Mo passed away December 3, 2011. She was born on April 20th, 1919 in Richmond, Minnesota to the late Gus and Lizzie Jansen.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Earnest A. Brown.
Ms. Annie is survived by two sisters, Wally Nohner and Betty Hilsgen; one brother, Leo Jansen; many nieces and nephews; and many many friends.
She belonged to VFW Auxiliary and the DAV Auxiliary.
Ms. Annie had worked at TrimFoot, the Girl Scout Uniform Factory, and The Pants Factory. After her retirement she continued her love of quilting and for the last few years she made and donated quilts, lap quilts, and baby quilts to the Abused Women's Shelter. Ms. Annie also donated quilts for the cats and dogs at the humane society.
Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Monday, December 5, 2011 from 5:00 PM to 8 PM. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 9 AM at the Big River Cemetery in Irondale Mo. In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to be made to the Farmington Pet Adoption Center or the SEMO Family Violence Council in Bonne Terre, Mo.
