Mrs. Cornelius (Lena) Plakke, 101, formerly of 229 Howard Ave., died Friday, Aug. 4 in a local nursing home.
She was born in Holland, and had llived on the North side of Holland her entire life.
She was the oldest member of Beechwood Reformed Church.
Her husband Cornelius died Feb. 1, 1988.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Harry (Alma) Baker of Holland and Mrs. Ben (Marjorie) Smith of Kewadin; a son, Clifford Plakke of Holland; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Bernard (Jeane) Plakke of Midland; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral and committal services are planned for 11 a.m. Monday at the Northwood Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Homes, 295 Douglas Ave., with the Rev. Chester Postma officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
No visitation is scheduled. Memorials may be given to Beechwood By the Bay.
