Samuel Ervin Henry, 73, 2007-A Brookside Drive, died Thursday at Huntsville Hospital.

A funeral will be today at 2:30 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene in West Huntsville with Rev. C. D. Holley and Rev. J. D. Reid officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home directing.

Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Flora Henry; four daughters, Mrs. Geneva Michael, Mrs. Miriam Gore and Mrs. Sarah Bailey, all of Huntsville, and Mrs. Inez Otwell of Greensboro, N. C.; three sons, Samuel E. Henry Jr. of Canoga Park, Calif., Douglas Henry of Los Angeles and Charles Henry of Gainesville, Ga.; two brothers, H. E. Henry of Chalmette, La., and Herman Henry of Birmingham, and 34 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Active pallbearers will be C. H. Pearson, James Tate, Maurice Levens, James T. Sykes, William Landers and Clifton O. Couch.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. James Freeze, W. H. Hilson, L. Harrison, and Slim Lay.

The body will be at Spry Funeral Home until the time for the service.

Samuel Ervin Henry, 73, 2007 A Brookside Drive, died of an apparent heart attack yesterday afternoon .

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Flora Henry; four daughters, Mrs. Geneva Michael, Mrs. Miriam Gore and Mrs. Sara Bailey, all of Huntsville. and Mrs. Inez Otwell, Gadsden; three sons, Samuel E. Henry Jr., Canoga Park, Calif., Douglas Henry, Los Angeles, and Charles Henry, Gainesville, Ga.; two brothers, H. E. Henry, Charmette, La., and Herman Henry, Birmingham.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Spry Funeral Home. The body will remain at the funeral home until time for services.
