THE PARIS NEWS, 19 April 1959, 'Ewell A. Armstrong, 52, manager of the Independent Ice Company here, died Saturday at 9:45 a.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital. Mr. Armstrong who suffered a sudden attack of illness at the plant about three weeks ago lived at 1703 Graham St. He was born in Kaufman County, Sept. 11, 1906, son of the late Henry and Ellen Threadgill Armstrong. Funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Fry-Gibbs Chapel by Hubert Roach and Leonard Coker, Church of Christ ministers, interment will be made in Meadowbrook Gardens. Mr. Armstrong leaves his wife, Ruby; a daughter, Mrs. Joel D. Casey, Paris; one grandchild and these sisters and brothers; Mrs. J. P. Wallace, Mrs. Millie Williams and Bill Armstrong, all of Terrell and Connie Armstrong, Longview.'
