Obituary, Maries County Gazette, Vienna, MO April 12, page 12: Lloyd Bluford Roberson of Dixon, was born on January 8, 1918, at Hayden in Maries County, a son of Glen and Stella Eliza Frances Eads Roberson, and departed this life at 11:45 pm, Wed, April 3, 1996 in the Maries Manor Helath Care and Rehab Ctr, Vienna; Mr. Roberson had been in failing health since November of 1993 and had attained the age of 78 years. Mr. Roberson was preceded in death by his father, Glen, born November 9, 1891, died October 10, 1940; his mother, Stella born November 22, 1891, died March 1, 1968; and two brothers, George Thomas Roberson born January 5, 1911, died November 3, 1952; and Chester Franklin Roberson born February 28,1916, died March 10, 1916. Mr. Roberson was a life-long farmer in Maries County. Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Roberson include: one brother, Kenneth Monroe Roberson, Dixon; one sister, Mrs. Martha Jennings, Dixon; Nephews, Nieces; and other relatives and friends. Graveside funeral services and interment were conducted for Mr. Roberson at 11:00 am on Saturday morning, April 6, 1996 in the Kenner Cemetery with Rev. Paul D. Smith, pastor, Kenner Church of God officiating. Under direction of the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes. Pallbearers: Larry Casey, Dustin Casey, Charles Tyler, Carl Roberson, William Roberson and Stanley Roberson.
